Of course we all knew about Camille Claudel and admired her work despite the shadow of Rodin and her sad story. Until now I have not felt she had produced a work that I liked enough for of my top 1000.
I found this on the French Site and added it.

At last -- we agree on something! This is the first piece of hers that seems to reflect a healthy mind.
(and it's given me some ideas for own little terracottas.)
I am thinking terracotta too and probably some more parian ware which is quite exquisite.
gosh, that is a tragic story. I think I would have tried to escape.
