A worth-while week-end

The sad fact is that there are few people who have not been affected by cancer, friends or family.

Last week-end I went to help my elder daughter in a fund raising event in Cambridgeshire. “Relay For Life” we walked round and round all day and night in relays!

as well as lots of fun

and games

and more

and of course

some more poignant moments.

And £12,000 was raised for Cancer Research UK
well done all.

my grandfather died from Colon Canser.

THis is wonderful that so much money was raised for research, and it looked like there was good weather and good times to be had by all there.

nice pictures

September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Great to know my fellow bloggers are participants in the fight against cancers!

Things are out there to get us, Robert....

Some dread disease already has our name on it -- and the only thing we can do is....

Make more sculpture !

(note: this Thursday is my wife's last session of drip therapy for her breast cancer -- and let's hope she doesn't need any others !!)

Oh Chris.

What can I say but to send all my best wishes. (It is no stranger to our family either.)
