The Rose In June in the Apple Tree
Amanda Sisk posted a fine picture of roses on her blog a few days ago, I can’t compete but neither can I wait ‘till February. The Rose in June was my Uncle’s boat and gives me an idea for a sculpture, (not a flower or a boat I must add!)

Lovely! How did it get into the tree? Was this an intentional merging, or did the rose climb up of its own accord?

Sorry you had trouble with leaving a message, I wonder what's wrong.
Well the rose is planted at the bottom of the tree and it just goes on growing up and eventually all over. I do not think it does the tree any harm, not like ivy. The apples are quite good but difficult to store. The tree has been allowed to grow too big.
lovely pictures as always!
I thought about you yesterday when I was watching the latest version of Pride and Pre. during the sculpture gallery scene.
I love the curls in the statue. YOu should do a post about hair in sculpture. It always amazes me.
hope all is well!
I enjoy pictures to, thats one of the things that I really liked about your site.
Thank you Susangalique. What a good idea about hair; I have done hands and mentioned the problems of eyes and eyelashes so I'll tackle hair next. Strangly enough it is in the frame at the moment, I am trying out a plat.
I'll see you over at your 'e'place.
